Why BART:PLUS?
Bartonella is quickly emerging as one of the most common
chronic infections within the United States. There are over 20,000
cases of bartonella henselae (cat-scratch fever) reported every
year. However, most Americans are unaware that they can also
contract bartonella from insect bites. Thus, medical authorities
believe that these cases are drastically underreported. In patients
with low immune function, bartonella can progress into a
chronic, low-grade state resulting in symptoms of pain, rashes,
fatigue, and mood changes. BART:PLUS is a combination
homeopathic remedy that can be used to manage symptoms
related to bartonella or as a daily accompaniment to the
BART:SSR Protocol.
Why BART:PLUS?
Bartonella are intracellular parasites that show preference for red
blood cells and the endothelial lining of blood vessels. These
bacteria can infect humans and a wide range of animals.
Although cats are normally indicated as the main route of
transmission (aka “cat scratch fever”), the bacteria are also
carried by lice, fleas, and ticks. Bartonella is a very common
co-infection among patients who have been infected with the
Lyme spirochete. While historically bartonella was described as
an acute, self-limiting illness, the medical community is beginning
to recognize that it can become a chronic infection. Initial
symptoms of bartonella include fatigue, fever, general malaise
and a characteristic streaked-rash that resembles stretch-marks.
Neurological symptoms are common in progressed infections and
may include blurred vision, numbness, headaches, irritability,
mood swings, and tremors.
