Why CAND:Combination?
The most common cause of fungal infections worldwide is the Candida genus of yeasts. Candida albicans is an opportunistic, pathogenic yeast (a type of fungus) that is commonly found in the human body. In a healthy person Candida lives symbiotically at tolerable levels in the gastrointestinal tract, genito-urinary tract, on the mucous membranes, and on the skin. However, in certain individuals the population of this single celled yeast may increase to a point where symptoms arise. Candida overgrowth tends to occur in those who consume a high carbohydrate diet, or who have frequently used medications such as oral contraceptives, antibiotics or steroids. Pregnancy, diabetes, and a compromised immune system also increase the likelihood of developing Candida symptoms.1
Candida parapsilosis has been associated with delayed wound healing and infection. Individuals at highest risk of C. parapsilosis infection are newborns, healthcare workers, patients in intensive care, and patients with prosthetic devices or indwelling catheters.2
Candida glabrata is becoming more prevalent in cases of Candida overgrowth. It is more commonly found in patients who have long stays in the hospital, women with complicated vaginal yeast infections, and those with compromised immune systems. C. Glabrata is able to resist conventional treatment.3
Candida tropicalis is one of the most prevalent pathogenic yeast strains besides Candida albicans. It is resistant to conventional treatment and is believed to be emerging as a significant cause of yeast infections.4
CAND:Combination is the ideal formula for supporting patients in temporarily relieving symptoms of Candida infections. It can be used alongside the Candida Albicans Series Symptom Relief Kit or as a standalone product for relief of symptoms, such as digestive issues, brain fog, skin rashes, joint discomfort, and vaginal infections.
What are the Symptoms of Candida Overgrowth?
Candida produces at least 79 toxic by-products known as mycotoxins — secondary metabolites of fungal origin that have pathogenic effects in the human body. Some mycotoxins have a small molecular weight that allows them to circulate freely throughout the body, causing systemic effects.5
CAND:Combination contains homeopathic nosodes to temporarily relieve symptoms of the following:
- Fatigue • Brain fog• Digestive issues • Sinus congestion• Recurring skin rashes • Low mood• Food sensitivities • Headache• Vaginal infections • Joint discomfort
